Alaska is a rugged and beautiful part of the United States, and it is a great place to live as well as to visit on your next vacation. One of the most popular places to stay in the state when you are traveling with an RV and want to experience the true wilds of Alaska is the little town of Chicken. This small town has a great atmosphere, friendly people and a surprising amount of things to see and do. The Chicken Creek RV Park is a perfect place to stay for those who want to experience the small Alaskan town. The park features some great amenities for travelers.

Chicken Creek RV Park Amenities

The campground features large pull-thru sites that make it easy to park your RV and to get it out of the site. They are able to accommodate double slide outs and RVs that are up to 70′ long, so even if you have a large RV, you shouldn’t have any trouble at the campground. They have 20 and 30-amp hookups available. Campers will also find tent sites at the campground if they are not traveling in an RV.

Power is available 24 hours a day. Free wireless Internet is available too. The sites are all located only a short distance from Chicken Creek. Fire pits are available, and there is even a covered picnic area. Even if it is raining, you will still be able to enjoy a nice outdoors picnic and you never have to worry about getting wet. The park also happens to boast the only flush toilets in Chicken, and that is reason enough for most people to stay there!

The campground also offers a gift store that features a large number of souvenirs as well as snacks and ice cream. They have drinks and free coffee available as well. Travelers will also be able to find gas and diesel fuel available onsite. Some of the other popular amenities that you will want to try while you are in the area include free gold panning and a free 3-par golf course.
