Quakerwoods Campground is a Great Family Destination
Pennsylvania is a wonderful place for a vacation for the entire family. When you are looking for a place to stay with your RV, you will discover that the state has a large number of wonderful places to stay. One of the best happens to be Quakerwoods Campground, which is located very close to Quakertown, PA. The camp is also just 15 miles from Allentown and only 25 miles from Philadelphia. Visitors will find that the campground also has plenty of great amenities that make staying there in your RV a natural choice.
What Amenities Does Quakerwoods Campground Offer?
The campground features 180 sites for RVs. The spaces at the campground are large enough for RVs that are up to 40′ long. They have full hookups with water, sewer and electric with 30-amp service. Cable television and wireless Internet are available too. Of course, it is all of the other features of the campground that cause people to fall in love with the place.
Campers will have access to a coin laundry facility so they will be able to wash their clothes right on the property. You will be able to pick up the necessities that you might have forgotten at the camp store. The kids will enjoy their time in the children’s pool, and the adults will have a great time cooling off in the adult pool. The game room is also a fun place to visit, and the little ones will have a wonderful time on the playground.
You will also be able to play miniature golf, softball, volleyball and basketball. The campground has 2 shuffleboard courts and themed weekends. You can also go fishing in the onsite pond. As you can see, the camp has something for everyone in your family.
Directions to Quakerwoods Campground
On the I-476 to Quakertown, you will take Exit 44 (NE PA Turnpike) and proceed 1 mile east on State Route 663. Turn left at Allentown Road and proceed for about 4 miles to the stop sign. Turn right onto Rosedale Road and then proceed for a mile. You will find the park entrance on the right. From New York and the Poconos, take I-78 to Exit 60 (309S). Proceed to the 3rd traffic light and turn right onto Main St. (Old Bethlehem Pike). Proceed for 5 miles to Rosedale Road. Turn right and the campground is half a mile down on the left.

Local Attractions
This area features quite a few great things for families to do together, and it has some of the best theme parks in the country. You will find that some of those parks are just a short drive from the campground. Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is always a fun place to visit for the kids and adults. Smaller children might enjoy Sesame Place.
Campers will also find some great places in the area to go hiking and exploring. You might want to visit Lost River Caverns in Hellertown, PA. Since you are only 25 miles from Philadelphia, you should head into the city to explore as well. You will at least want to try an authentic Philly cheese steak!
