When looking for a great RV camp that has plenty of activities for the entire family, Shawnee Sleepy Hollow Camp fits the bill nicely. The campground is located near Schellsburg, Pennsylvania and offers a nice, rural atmosphere that still has plenty of fun activities that will keep everyone in the family occupied no matter how long you decide to stay. What Does Shawnee Sleepy Hollow Camp Have?
The sites at the campground are able to accommodate RVs that are up to 40′ long. Water and electric are available at the sites. They have 20 and 30-amp hookups. Primitive sites are also available. In all, the camp features 86 sites. Tables and fire rings are available as well.
The camp also has a comfort station and fields where you can play football, basketball, soccer, croquet and baseball. Guests will also be able to play badminton, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Pinball, video games, pool tables, ping-pong and a jukebox are available as well. Kids will be able to enjoy themselves out on the playground. Campers can take a relaxing swim in the heated pool after a long day of play too! The camp hosts activities and entertainment as well.
Families will appreciate that there is an onside laundry facility. This makes it easier to keep clothes clean, and you won’t have to head into town just to find a place to do laundry. The onsite store includes groceries, RV supplies and a gift shop. Campers are allowed to bring their pets with them to the campground, but there are restrictions. You are only able to bring small or medium sized pets that are less than 30 pounds. You also need to keep them on a leash and make sure that you clean up after them.
Directions to Shawnee Sleepy Hollow Camp
From the PA Turnpike, you will take Exit 46 (Bedford) to US Route 220 South. Follow the 220 South for 1 mile to Route 30 West (Greenburg Exit), and then travel west on Route 30 for 7 miles. The campground in Schellsburg will be on the right. You should see yellow and black signs leading to the campground.

Although the campground features plenty of fun activities to keep everyone busy and happy, you might want to venture out into the area to find some other things to see and do. You will find plenty of great opportunities.
Those who are interested in history should take the time to visit the Fort Bedford Museum and Old Bedford Village. Guests that want to get out on the water or go fishing will find some excellent lakes in the area as well. You will be able to visit Shawnee Lake, which is a massive 450 acres, as well as Raystown Lake. Another fun activity that you might like is a visit to the Bison Ranch.
