Welcome to RVParks.org

The first post on any site is always the most exciting. As a family who recently purchased an RV, but couldn’t find a truly great resource to find RV parks, we decided to purchase and start RVPakrs.org.
We know we have a big task in front of us, but we plan on cataloging every RV park in the USA and Canada over the next couple of years. While we won’t be able to give a personal review of each and every one of them, we will give a detailed review of the ones we personally visit.
We’re taking our inaugural trip right now from Las Vegas, NV to Woodstock, VA to visit family for Thanksgiving. This is just a small trip compared to our summer destination of Alaska. During that trip we’ll have the opportunity to personally review several hundred campgrounds in the USA and Canada.
On our way east we stopped at 4 campgrounds and dry camped 4 nights. We used resources like Good Sam Club to find campgrounds, but would have avoided a couple of them if we have a better resource or review to read. Since we travel in a Class A RV, some things are more important to us than other RVers. For instance, we aren’t worried about the laundry or shower facilities. However, we do want a campground with nice wide spots, little road noise, and good Internet access. The thing is, we didn’t always travel in a class A, so we know what it’s like to depend on the shower and other facilities at the park. This is why we hope to bring a more complete review, from multiple perspectives.
The first step for us is to create a good design for the site. Then, we will get to work and we look forward to any suggestions you might have.
